Molly and Sean's wedding album by Derbyshire wedding photographer Aaron Russell.
I had the great pleasure to photograph Molly and Sean's wedding just a few miles from where I live in Derbyshire.
The bride was getting ready at the family home and I had been there from early in the morning to capture all the magical moment that went into that part of the day. It was good being there early as the house was also being used as the wedding reception venue, and being there at that time allowed me to tale plenty of photos of the venue being set up, which isn't something I usually get to see to photograph. I do think that being there to take these photos really added to the story of their wedding day.
For the wedding itself, the young couple got married at the local church which was just a mile or so up the road. As there was little to no space at the wedding venue or reception venue to take group photos, the only option was to take these at a small school that was immediately adjacent to the church. The school had been kind enough to let us use their playing fields for the photography and we might have really struggled to otherwise take the group photos.
This double page spread from Molly and Sean's wedding album shows some of those group photos, with the largest family photo on the left page, and four smaller images in a symmetrical layout on the right page. We had taken the confetti photo immediately before moving onto the group photos which is why the confetti is still visible on the floor.
