This is a double page spread from Charlotte and Andrews wedding album. After spending much of my morning with Charlotte, the bride, I made my way over to Andy and the boys who were getting ready not too far away.
The bride gets all the attention for much of the wedding day, including all the photos of the details in the morning. Because we had a lot of prior planning I knew that I could get to Andy and do the same photos for him in the morning too. On the left page of the wedding album we can see the photo that I took of the groom's wedding shoes, belt and cuff links. On the right side of the page we can see a formal photo that I took of the best man and his expecting wife. The remaining three photos on the right side of the page show candid images of the groom and best man adjusting each others ties. There's another image where you can see the groom looking at himself and his tie in the mirror. Mirrors are a great photographic tool on wedding days, and you can take some really atmospheric photos with them. Typically this is the kind of photo that you'd take with a bride but there is absolutely no reason you cannot do the same with the groom!
