Ben and Le-Annes wedding at Iscoyd Park was quite an occasion. These two images in their album spread were taken during their First Look photo session on the day of their wedding. Their wedding took place just after Christmas back in 2015 and as the service was late in the afternoon the sun would have been setting shortly after the wedding ceremony.
Knowing this beforehand due to my wedding photography planning I spoke to Ben and Le-Anne about a First Look. A First Look is very common in America due to the time restraints many of the venues put on the wedding day with the vendors. With that in mind, it is about the couple having a planned photo session for their formal portraits before the ceremony itself freeing up valuable time after the ceremony.
Although this goes against the traditions in the UK they are starting to appear as brides become aware of them and the advantages on the wedding day timeline.
These two photographs here were taken about five minutes after they saw each other. I was walking through the beautiful corridors with Ben and Le-Anne to the front of the house were the wedding cars were waiting to whisk them off to the church. As we came outside the light was gorgeous and already low in the sky. I quickly placed the couple next to the front door and had them look at me. Once the shot was in the bag I asked Ben to nibble Le-Annes ear! This made her laugh and break into a lovely natural smile that cannot be captured if I asked for her to smile for the camera.
