Outdoor wedding games are a great way of keeping both yourselves and your wedding guests entertained during your wedding reception. Whilst most games will be designed with kids in mind (think Jenga, space-hoppers, ring toss games etc) you’ll actually find it’s the adults that use them the most. After all, we’re all kids at heart, right?
When it comes to weddings, depending on the type of day that you’re having and what you have planned, you can often find yourselves with little to do between the reception drinks and the wedding breakfast, and especially between the end of the wedding breakfast and the first dance or evening reception. Both are times when some of your wedding guests will go and check into their hotel rooms if they’re staying off-site, or may even go and have a nap if they’re staying at the venue. For those that are left, there can often be a lull in activity for a couple of hours. For this reason, it’s a great I idea to have outdoor games at your wedding, especially in summer, where you can use the outside space to your advantage as well as the fact that it’s not dark until gone 9pm. That being said, I have witnessed people playing giant chess using candles and the lights on their phones in the past!
