This is a double page photo spread from Charlotte and Andrew's wedding album which was designed by Aaron Russel, the professional Derbyshire wedding photographer.
Charlotte and her bridesmaids elected to get ready at home on the morning of the wedding - that is, the bride's home. This is becoming more of an unusual thing to do as a lotto brides these days get ready at the wedding venue or at a local hotel. Most modern wedding venues have bespoke or custom made rooms that are designed around a bride getting ready there in the morning. They usually include plenty of mirrors and electricity points for hairdressers and makeup artists to make use of. Another thing you can expect to find in a bespoke room is clothing pegs or hooks which are elevated to a height of 6 to 7 feet from above the ground level, and this is to enable you to hang a full length wedding dress to air without the train touching the floor. This is the best way to look after your wedding gown on the morning of your wedding but at the same time it makes your wedding photographers life a lot easier too when it comes to taking the photos of the dress hanging up.
