Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa is a magnificent 19 century manor house wedding venue set in 6 acres of formal award winning gardens, surrounded by a further 29 acres of parkland.
As well as a spa and restaurant, the hotel itself offers first rate accommodation all of which makes it the ideal location for a wedding. Furthermore, as a wedding venue they have been awarded as the winner of “Best Wedding Venue in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire 2016” and as a finalist in “Best Wedding Venue in East Midlands 2017“ in the prestigious I Do Magazine Wedding Awards.
The photo that you see above is so simple in approach - The bride, groom and bridesmaids were walking from the wedding ceremony room to the wedding reception, which took them under this dramatic tree. I love the shapes made by the branches on the underside, but on top of that, the gentle sloping in the tree's branches helps frame the bride and groom in the photo too.
In order to make the very most out of this photographic opportunity, I chose to convert the image to black and white in post production. The removal of colour really enables the viewer to focus on what's happening within the image, and to take in the environment for the portrait, without being distracted by bright colours.
