Most people feel awkward in front of the camera at the best of times. All too often I hear people say to me,"I don't take a good photo", "I don't like having my photo taken". When you look back at the photos from your childhood they were typically taken using poor cameras and in poor lighting. When you start to think about it, this can have a real negative impact and cause a lot of anxiety even before your wedding day has arrived.
Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your lives together. Looking back on your day, you will want your wedding photographs of the two of you to be amazing, without the hint of a nervous smile or awkward pose.
When I sit down to discuss your upcoming wedding with you I always talk about the engagement shoot. We can discuss a location that has meaning for the two of you, what to wear and what time of day. Typically, either early morning or late afternoon a couple of hours before sunset is best.
Once we have gone through a few simple poses when we arrive on location it is time to have some fun. After a few minutes of taking some static poses that are comfortable for you both, I will show you some images on the back of my camera and that's when the magic happens! I can honestly say, those few photographs I captured of the two of you will be the best photographs you have of each other, ever! It is from that point that everyone really relaxes and has some serious fun.
At the end of the engagement session, you will have the best photographs you have ever had. You'll be able to share them with your friends online if you wish to do so and print them out as I provide you with the digital files normally within a week or two of the photo shoot.
The best part though, is that you would have completely forgotten all of your fears and anxieties about ever having your photograph taken. Your wedding day will be so much more relaxed as a result so you can concentrate on one another and the wonderful day that is your wedding!
